Of Course this was before Fanconi Syndrome really started to work on her mental and physical state all together. The thing with Markita is that she never believed that she was any different inside than anyone else.
Markita always liked to dance and sing around the house. Although at times it was very difficult for her. Between all of the doctor visits and the medication she had to intake daily, it's a wonder that she had any high spirits. But you know something, she has very high spirits, a lesser person would have fallen to defeat long ago.
As the days and nights grow longer for her in her weakened state, I thought I would put this up to remind us how she was as a kid, so care free and full of happiness.
Currently she is fighting the battle with her own body. It seems that her body is starting to fail, this is nothing new to her but this time the battles are getting harder. She has to constantly go to the doctors office to get fluid removed from her internal vessel. Roughly 1500 to 2000cc's each trip. This has to be removed or she could literally drown in her own bodily fluid.
But have no fear, she hasn't stopped fighting and neither will we stop praying for her.
